Alma Jean (Gordon) Hunt

Alma Jean Hunt, 88, of Ridgway, passed away at the Ridgway Manor on Thursday, February 11, 2021.  She was born on January 25, 1933 in Smithland, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charles Abraham and Myrtle (Carson) Gordon.  Alma was married to Eugene Oldham who passed on May 15, 1997.  After Eugene’s death she married Charles Hunt who also preceded Alma in death on June 5, 2015.  She leaves behind her daughter, Linda Hansbrough of Shawneetown; one sister, Daisy and Jim Hall of Shawneetown; sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Alma was preceded in death by parents; her husbands; one daughter, Katherine Oldham; four sons, John H., Fauncie, Charles and Richard Oldham; four grandsons, Jimmy Davis, Brent Oldham, Roger Hansbrough and William Hansbrough; four sisters, Pearl Sharp, Coralee Slayton, Ruth Seely, and Leona Moore; three brothers, Henry, Harm, and Homer Gordon.  Visitation for Alma will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Pastor Jack Hall will officiate with burial at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  Due to Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required.
