Alva Jean (Richardson) Bartley

September 4, 1938 — August 2, 2021

Alva Jean Bartley, 82, of Eldorado, Illinois formerly of Omaha, passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana on Monday, August 2, 2021.  She was born on September 4, 1938 in Crossville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arthur and Macie (Chaffin) Richardson.  Alva married James Elvis Bartley on July 11, 1959.  He preceded her in death on July 29, 2019.   Alva was a member of the Faith Tabernacle in Carmi.  She is survived by four daughters, Cathy Murphy of Norris City, Connie White of Benton, Cindy and Doug Jarman of Omaha, Christie and Rick Willoughby of Shawneetown; two brothers, Amos Richardson of Stonefort and Palmer Richardson of Galatia; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.  Alva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Caren Sue Bartley and Carolyn Boston; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Anthony; two brothers and three sisters.  Visitation for Alva will be on Thursday, August 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha.  Funeral service will be on Friday, August 6th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Gholson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to go towards the funeral expense.
