Anthony "Tony" Kivett

Anthony, "Tony," Kivett was born December 13, 1957 to the late Charles and Vivian Collingsworth in Middlesboro, Kentucky.  Tony graduated from Shawneetown High School in 1976.  While in high school, Tony met Norma (Fuller) and they were married in 1979.  Tony was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and played bass in the Union Grove Gospel Band.  Tony's love for the Lord and hard working ethics were what he was most known for.  Tony grew up humbly and worked hard to provide for his wife Norma, and daughters, Amy and Sarah.  Tony worked 38 years in various positions in the coal industry and was deeply respected by his coworkers.  Tony worked hard to instill the same values in his children and those he cared for.  In his later years, Tony, "Pa," worked hard to ensure that each of his grandchildren Halle, Ben, Beau, Shaylie, Bryar, and Bradee, knew that their Pa loved them with all his being.  Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vivian Collingsworth, and sister Tamela Martin, in-laws, Tom and Louise Fuller, brothers-in-law, Bill Smith and Ben Fuller, and special friend, Gary Williams.  Tony is survived by wife, Norma, of 44 years, daughters, Amy (Bill) Price and Sarah Black (Brandon), his babies, Halle, Ben Beau, Shaylie, Bryar, and Bradee, brothers, Charlie (Rosalee) and Monty (Amy) Collingsworth, in-laws, Dayla Shake Wood, Tom (Karen) Fuller, Dot McAnally, and John (Danae) Fuller, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Sharon Williams, Kim Evans, and Carol Crady and families.  Visitation will be held at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown, IL on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm with the funeral immediately following officiated by son-in-law, Bill Price.  Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Saline Baptist Association Men on Mission.
