Bessie Moore

Bessie Moore, 91, of Shawneetown, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, 7:30 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. She was born on May 3, 1921 in Red Bud, Ky., the daughter of Ernest and Perlie (Hoskins) Moore. Bessie is survived by daughter, Rose and Ed Streamas of Shawneetown; two brothers, Ted and Dorothy Moore of Riverside, Cal., Charlie and Bobbie Moore of Shawneetown; two sisters, Wilma and Orcie Witt of Marengo, Oh., Mamie Lee Hamilton of Chicago; grandson, Steve and Ceason Middleton of Carbondale; two great grandchildren, Tucker and Piper; several nieces and nephews; and very good friend Jeanette Chubb. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ed and Carl Moore; and sister, Maxie Smith. Memorial service for Bessie will be held on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with Pastor Scott Luckett officiating.
