Betty M. (Thompson) Wright

Betty M. Wright, 63, of New Harmony, Ind., formerly of Omaha, Ill., passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012, 4:20 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. She was born on May 23, 1949 in Eldorado, Ill., the daughter of Raymond R. and Adeline (Duckworth)Thompson. She was a graduate of Ridgway High School the class of 1966. Betty married Norbert Wright on August 10, 1973 in Norris City, Ill. She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Norbert Wright of New Harmony, Ind.; one daughter, Christina and Jeremy McCarty of New Harmony, Ind.; one son, Kevin and Kimberly Wright of Evansville, Ind.; three sisters, Pauline and Carl Edwards of Vienna, Ill, Marie Shewmaker of Marion, Ill., and Helen Rollman of Carmi, Ill; two brothers, Bernard and Audrey Thompson of Ladd, Ill. and twin brother, Daniel Thompson of Leavenworth, Ks. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery near Omaha.
