Billy Burt Sauls

Rev. Billy Burt Sauls, 73, of Ridgway, IL; passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 1:23 p.m. at Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, IL. He was born on September 3, 1934 in Ridgway to Claude and Vina (Feazel) Sauls. Billy Burt married Susan Eileen Mizorek on March 26, 1976. Mr. Sauls was a retired guard at the State of Illinois Department of Corrections in Joliet, IL. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ridgway Church of God, and was very active in the Ridgway Masonic Lodge #816, Ridgway American Legion Post 596 in which he served as Chaplain and belonged to the International Chaplain Assn. Billy Burt is survived by wife Susan E. Sauls of Harrisburg; two daughters, Lisa Larson of Harrisburg, Laura and Amon Jones of Dixon, KY; one brother, Wilson Feazel of Shawneetown; four grandchildren, Jason Larson and Kansas Larson both of Harrisburg, Jeremy Jones of Dixon, KY and Natalie Stone of Henderson, KY; and one sister-in-law, Stella Feazel of Ridgway. He was preceded in death by parents and one brother Joe Feazel. Visitation for Billy Burt will be Tuesday, September 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with masonic services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Lyndal Sork officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway, with military services conducted by Ridgway American Legion Post 596.
