Bobby Gene Williams, 86, of Equality, Ill. passed away at 4:14 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Equality, the son of T.Y. and Louise (Barnett) Williams. Bob married Leah Brinkley on February 24, 1952 and enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage. Leah passed away on November 23, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Janice (Bill) Lane of Equality; his son-in-law, Bernie Bayer of Equality; four granddaughters, Tera and Wes Henson of Junction, Tami Lane Logsdon of Junction, Megan and Jeremy Jackson of Ridgway; Jarah and Alex Scates of Evansville, Ind.; eight great grandchildren, Will and Lane Henson, Daine and Dawson Hish, Audrey and Grant Jackson, Crew and Leo Scates. Also survived by his two brothers, Jerry and Jean Williams of Equality, Joe and Ruinette Williams of Waycross, Ga.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his daughter, Mona Bayer. Bob was a longtime member of the Equality Presbyterian Church where he took part as a song leader, Sunday school teacher and Elder. He was also, a part of the No Greater Love Ministry. Visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday, April 24th from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Equality Presbyterian Church. His brother, Pastor Jerry Williams will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Equality Presbyterian Church. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements.
