Bonita Jewel "Judy" Belford, 72, of Ridgway, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 4:20 p.m. at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born on July 6, 1940 in Eichorn, a small community in Hardin County, Ill. The daughter of Howard A. and Mildred Catherine (Shelby) Collier, she married Charles D. Belford on July 2, 1956 in Corinth, Miss. Charles preceded her in death on August 1, 2000. Judy attended the First Baptist Church in Ridgway. Judy is survived by her daughter Lisa Belford and Leonard Pritchard Jr. Of Shawneetown; four sons, Ron Belford and fiancé Amy Browning of Omaha, Mike Belford of Ridgway, Bob and Kim Belford of Ridgway, Randy and Janice Belford of Crossville; three sisters, Joyce and Thomas Carter of Golconda, Sharon and Floyd Thompson of Perryville, Mo., Carol Sue and Rev. Bernie Cowgill of Eldorado; one brother, Don and Connie Collier of Raleigh; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and granddaughter Chelsea Belford . Visitation for Judy will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rob Gallion and Rev. Bernie Cowgill officiating.
