Calvin Eugene Hancock

Calvin Eugene Hancock, 75, of Equality, Illinois passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  He was born on July 15, 1946 in Independence, Illinois, the son of Verdon Hancock and Ivas Lorene (Rogers) Oliver.  Calvin retired as a  LP truck driver for Oldham Brothers in Shawneetown.  He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.  Calvin is survived by his son, Calvin Hancock Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Cynthia Oliver of Kerrville, Texas, Linda Schearf of Dale; one brother, Robert Hancock of Eldorado.  There will be a memorial graveside service on Monday, May 1st at 1 p.m. at the Bethlehem Cemetery near Omaha.  Those attending the service should go directly to the cemetery,  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements.
