Cathy Jo Raymer

Cathy Jo Raymer, 72, of Shawneetown, Illinois passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 21st , 2024.  Cathy was born in the Village of Equality on the 8th of September in 1952, the daughter of the late Jessie “Mutt” Raymer and Ovieta Reynolds Booten.  She was a retired LPN that worked at Harrisburg Medical Center and at local nursing homes.  Cathy is survived by her loving two sons, Trever Leon Walker of Shawneetown, Aaron Nicholas and Gail Walker of Boonville, Indiana; three brothers, Terry and Linda Raymer, Leon and Kay Raymer , Steve Raymer, all of Shawneetown; one grandchild, Abigail Walker and two step grandchildren, Alec and Allison Bannister.  Also survived by Robert Owen of Harrisburg, a good family friend of Trever and Aaron.  Cathy will be cremated with a private service to be held at a later date.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown will be in charge of the arrangements for Cathy.
