Charles G. Funk

Charles G. Funk, 78, of Ridgway, Illinois, passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at  St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  The son of the late George Hurley and Leona (Calvey) Funk, he was born on February 13, 1945 in Michael, Illinois.  Charles was a former and retired manager of several grain elevators.  He married the former Susan Schmitt on January 9, 1965 who preceded him in death on October 15, 1999.  Also Charles was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway.  He is survived by his daughter, Connie Funk of Ridgway; his two sons, Gary Funk of Equality, Tony Funk of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; two sisters, Carolyn and John Wankle, Kay Fisher; two brothers, Jerry and Judy Roth, Steve Roth; and his grand daughter, Tara Funk.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Anna Funk.  There will be no funeral services.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway in charge of arrangements.
