Clarence Jackson “Jack” Brown Sr., 89, of Ridgway, Ill., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare in Eldorado. He was born on February 5, 1929 in Shawneetown, the son of the late William Riley and Gertrude Belle (Walker) Brown. Jack married the former Elma “Muff” Drone on April 19, 1961. He owned Jack’s Marine in Ridgway. Also was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway. Jack is survived by daughter, Sandi Brown of Shawneetown; daughter, Debby and Richard Beher of Ridgway; son, C.J. and Lisa Brown Jr. Of Troy, Mo.; son, Scott and Debra Brown of Ridgway; daughter, Julie and Richard Patera, Creal Springs; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and four brothers, Bill, Jim, Bob and Bud Brown. Burial was at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway with a private family graveside service with Monsignor Joseph Lawler officiating.
