Claude Wilson “Coolman” Feazel, 79, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Wilson was born in Ridgway on May 19, 1941, the son of the late Claud and Mel Vina (Flahardy) Feazel. He was a miner for the Peabody Coal Company and retired after twenty-three years. Also he worked at the Blevins Popcorn Factory for many years. Coolman loved to garden and spending time with friends. Wilson is survived by his wife, Stella (McGrew) Feazel of Ridgway; four children, Phil and Donna Feazel of Harrisburg, Angela and B.J. Brown of Ridgway, David and Amy Feazel of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tyler Feazel of Shawneetown; two sister-in-laws, Bethel Rigsby of Shawneetown, Mary Jo Redick of Shawneetown; three grandchildren, Kiley Brown, Grace Feazel, and Harlow Feazel; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Feazel and Billy Burt Sauls. Cremation service was selected and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
