Clyde Dale Henderson, 85, of Omaha, Illinois, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville, Indiana. Clyde was born on February 2, 1935 in Thackeray, the son of the late Robert Andrew and Iduna Mae (Ledford) Henderson. On October 4, 1958 in Omaha, he married the former Virginia Gail Sauls who survives. He retired as a fuel construction supervisor at SOHIO. Also Clyde was an Army veteran and attended the Norris City First Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Henderson of Omaha; daughter, Sonya and Bobby McClusky of Omaha; son, Nick Henderson of St. Joseph; daughter, Dana McClusky of Omaha; four grandchildren, Jessica and Jared Simmons, Jordon and Tyla McClusky, Lindsey and Blake Wood, Tyler and Brittany McClusky; six great grandchildren, Jaden, Jaxen, Jenna, Maci, Emma and Lincoln. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Skippy Dale Henderson; two sisters, Ruby Abston and Mattie Braden; one brother, Ernest Henderson; one son-in-law, Michael R. McClusky. There will be a private burial at the Palestine II Cemetery near Omaha with a memorial service at a later date. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha will be in charge of the services.
