Danny Lee Roberts

Danny Lee Roberts, 72, of Eldorado, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, 11:03 p.m. at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. He was born on September 11, 1940 in Shawneetown, the son of Louis Roberts and Melvina (Back) Roberts Bunch. Danny married Wanda Lee Cox on September19, 1964. He was a retired coal miner. Danny is survived by his wife, Wanda L. Roberts of Eldorado; one daughter, Bessie Baugher of Eldorado; two sons, Bernie and Lynn Roberts of Alice, Tex., Chris and Lisa Roberts of Cave-In-Rock, Ill.; two brothers, Bob and Mona Roberts of Ridgway, Larry and Sue Roberts of Arizona; one sister, Loueva and Rick Adamson of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Chasse Brown, and Kendreca Roberts; three great grandchildren, Ja’nae Roberts, Gavin Brown, and Gabrella Brown; four step sisters, Jerry and George Green of Evansville, Ind., Alberta and Jack Stanley of Texas, Patti and Bill Smith of Shawneetown, Lela and Ron Partain of Hardin County. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cleo Roberts, step brother, Al Barger. Visitation for Danny will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ownly Williams officiating. Burial will be conducted at the Callicott Cemetery near Ridgway.
