Deborah Elizabeth Brown, 69, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away with her children, Shelly, Liz, and John, by her side on Thursday, February 22, 2024 under the wonderful care of Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville, Indiana. Debbie was born in Eldorado on October 22, 1954 the daughter of the late Cedric Raphael and Nancy Pearlene (Cullum) Fals. She married Arthur Anthony “Bo” Brown in 2002. Sadly, Bo preceded Debbie in death on January 31, 2018. Debbie was Catholic by faith and a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway. She worked for twenty-five years at the ALPS Grocery in Morganfield, Kentucky. Debbie supported the local military veterans as a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She leaves behind her loving family, her children, Shelly Cox of Shawneetown, Liz and Michael Patrick of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, John and Stanya Cox of Shawneetown; her sister, Cathy and Rick Koker of Wetumpka, Alabama; one brother, Steve and Sheila Fals of Omaha; her step son, Michael and Julie Brown of Dale; eleven grandchildren, Anthony, Raleigh, Emma, Lily, Logan, Danielle, Jeradon, Peyton, Christa, Bryanna, and Kaitlyn. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her brother, Danny Fals. There will be a visitation for Debbie on Sunday, February 25th from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 26th at 11 a.m. at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway. Father Vincent Mukasa will officiate the service. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway. Donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Shawneetown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
