Donald R. DeArmon, 81, of Paducah, Ky., passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, 3:41 a.m., at the Southgate Nursing and Rehab Center in Metropolis, Ill. He was born on April 19, 1933 in Corning, Ark., the son of Vern and Deane DeArmon. Don was the owner of Donco Construction in Eldorado, Ill. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Patton) DeArmon of Paducah, Ky.; three sons, Mike and Susan DeArmon of Eldorado, Jerry DeArmon and Jeffrey DeArmon, both of Eldorado; one step son, Chris Haas of Rosiclare, Ill.; and six grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern DeArmon Jr. There will be a graveside service for Don on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown. For those wishing to attend the service gather at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown at 10:15 a.m. and then proceed to the cemetery. Reverend Robert D. Patton will officiate the service. Family request no flowers, but memorial donations may be made to Lourde’s Hospice of Paducah. Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
