Donald Ray Williams

Donald Ray Williams, 77, of Omaha, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Wabash Christian Village in Carmi, Illinois.  He was born on October 24, 1941 in Omaha, the son of the late Horace Calvin “H.C.” and Ida (Land) Williams.  Don married Karen S. Payton on August 18, 1968.  Karen and Don owned and operated the Omaha Furniture Store in Omaha.  He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Williams of Omaha; six children, Donna and Byrd Huber of Carmi, Diane and Shad Payne of Olney, Kevin William and Loran Karcher of Carmi, Kathy Williams of Harrisburg, Kerrie Williams of Omaha, and Chris Williams of Omaha; and five grandchildren.  Don is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Calvin C. Williams and one sister, Mildred Gill.  Visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha.  Rev. Chris Marsh will officiate the service with burial at the Ditney Ridge Cemetery near Norris City.
