Donna Joyce (Patton) Bartley

Donna Joyce Bartley (Patton), 85 years of age, passed peacefully at home on June 9, 2023.  Donna was born on July 19, 1937 in Shawneetown, IL. She is the middle of three children. Donna became a dedicated employee of the State of Illinois, working in Springfield, IL.  She married the love of her life Raymond Bartley in 1958. The two were always on the go. They lived in St. Louis, Granite City, Princeton Kentucky, and then chose their forever home in Griffith, Indiana. The two spent their free time with family. You would always find the two of them cheering on their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. You could always count on them to be at every concert, sporting event, or special occasion for their family. Donna loved cheering on the Giants like her dad and later in life rooting for the Blackhawks. She loved Elvis and would gladly have you listen to his music, making everyone she knew a fan.  She was a member of Griffith Baptist Church in Griffith, Indiana.  Survived by her husband Raymond Bartley, her daughter Lisa(Jeff) Brinkman, her devoted granddaughters Melissa(Mike) Sielski and Raychel(Mark) Picard, her loving grandsons Ben(Liz) Bartley and Chris(Stacii) Bartley, great grandchildren Dominik and Mila Sielski, McKenna, Olivia, and Leo Bartley, and Brayden, Aubrey, and Coltyn Picard, brothers George Patton, and Gary(Tami) Patton and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son Timothy Bartley, sister in law Norma Gene Patton, and her parents Leonard and Eileen Patton.  Visitation for Donna will be held on Thursday, June 15th from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. noon at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Burial will follow at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
