Dorothy Agnes (Hendricks) Duncan

Dorothy A. Duncan, 86, of Shawneetown, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2:50 p.m. She was born on September 11, 1926 in Smith Mills, Ky., the daughter of Johnnie and Carrie (Byrd) Hendricks. She meet her husband, Thomas Lee Duncan in Evansville, Ind. during World War II, he was a shipyard worker and she was a waitress. They married on May 22, 1944. Dorothy was a faithful member of the Shawneetown Church of God. She was preceded death by her parents; her husband who passed away on September 5, 2003 and a brother, Rudy Shoulders. Graveside service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Westwood Cemetery with Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shawneetown Church of God orphanage fund.
