Dorothy M. (Drone) Spahr

Dorothy M. Spahr, 86, of Equality, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.  She was born on October 10, 1937 in her beloved town of Equality, one of six children born to the late John Albert and Lucy Catherine Johanna (Muensterman) Drone.  Dorothy married James Louis Spahr on January 30, 1957 and shared there life together until his death on November 21, 2012.  She was a faithful member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church.  Dorothy is survived by her loving children, her son, Louis Spahr of Equality; her two daughters, Donna Spahr of Evansville, Indiana, Judy Spahr of Harrisburg; two surviving sisters, Marti and Mike Storto of Equality, Dolores Schmitt of Ridgway; two grandchildren, Aaron and Paige Spahr of Montreal, Canada, Abby and Garrett Roe of Ridgway and one great grandchild, Brielle Roe.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Charles, Hubert and Cletus Drone.  There will be a private funeral mass for Dorothy.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality will be charge of services.
