Earl Wesley Knight

Earl Wesley Knight, 83, resident of Ridgway, Illinois passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his residence. Earl was born February 26, 1938 in White County, Illinois to the late Edmond and Jewel (Heimer) Knight. He served in the US Navy. In 1978 he married the former Helen Davis who survives. He worked as an electrician prior to retirement. He was a member of the Norris City General Baptist Church and the Norris City Masonic Lodge. Earl is survived by his wife: Helen Knight of Ridgway, a daughter: Stacey (Ron) Rister of Ridgway, a brother: Joe Knight, 2 sisters: Linda Golden and Sandy Powell, a grandson Dlyan Rister of Ridgway and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Patsy and Glenda and a brother: Darrell Knight. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm, noon, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with Pastor Curt Morris officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 am to service time at noon. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery in Norris City with military rites provided by the Gallatin County Honors Team.
