Edith Cox

Edith Cox, 88, of Karbers Ridge, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009; 8:30 p.m. at the Brookstone Estates in Harrisburg. She was born September 3, 1920 in Harrisburg to Arthur and Polly (Gaskins) Thompson, On December 27, 1937 Edith married Jessie H. Cox whom passed away in March of 1980. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna and Jack Harkey of Bethalto, Linda and W.T. "Tom" Ozee of Karbers Ridge; and two sons, Bob and Linda Cox of Brighton, George and Susan Cox of Kuttawa, Ky.; several grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Edith is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Tresea Whitehead and a son Arthur H. Cox. Visitation for Edith with be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Funeral and visitation will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Garden in Bethalto.
