Elsie R. Wood

Elsie R. Wood, 99, of Enfield, IL formerly of Shawneetown, IL, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006 , 9:20 P.M. at Enfield Health Care Center in Enfield, IL. She was born to Elbridge and Della (Sturm) Joseph in New Haven, IL on March 30, 1907. She married William B. Trousdale and he preceded her in death in 1974. She married William C. "Clayte" Wood in June of 1976 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1998. Elsie was a homemaker. She is survived by nephew, Robert and Dorothy Murphy of Norris City, IL; step daughter, Louise and Mark Browning of Carmi, IL, great nephews, Mike and Bob Murphy; great nieces, Sue Burton, Vicki Holland, Peggy and Kim Bryant; two step grandchildren, Glenda Hankins, and Dennis Browning. She is preceded in death by one brother, Ray Joseph; five sisters, Mabel Fraiser, Leona Redburn, Lena Smith, Ida Joseph and Thelma Murphy. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until service time 1:00 p.m. at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown, IL.
