Eugene Wayne Hardin

Eugene Wayne Hardin, 82, of Junction, Illinois passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 at the Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, Kentucky.  He was born in Shawneetown on June 21st, 1942 to the late Gene and Anna Mae (Hayes) Hardin.  Wayne was raised by his paternal grandparents, George and Ethyl May (Brooks) Hardin Sr.  He married the former Vicki Palmer in 1996.  Wayne was a retired mechanic.  He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Hardin of Junction; three daughters, Eugenia Patton of Shawneetown, Sarah Bryant of Maine, Sirena Maxine Hardin of Indiana; one brother, Jack Turner; two sisters, Connie Lee and Linda Gunning; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeff Hardin; his sister, Linda Agin.  There will be a graveside service for Wayne to be held at a later date at Callicott Cemetery near Ridgway.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown will be in charge of arrangements.
