Floyd Keith Watson

Floyd Keith Watson, 58, of Virden,  IL, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL with his loving family at his side.  Floyd was born January 2, 1961 in Marion, Kentucky, the son of Kenneth Floyd and Bonnie Jean Wright Watson. He married Catherine Dean on February 13, 1981 in Staunton, VA.  Floyd adored his precious grandchildren: Alexandra Jean, Abigail Grace, and Emma Catherine. He loved music, classic cars, and motorcycles but most of all he loved spending time with his family.  He was a coal miner at Crown III mine.  Surviving Floyd are his parents, Kenneth Floyd and Bonnie Jean (Wright) Watson, his son, Zebediah (Kendal) Watson of Girard, IL and a daughter Jessica Watson of Springfield, IL brother, Jason Watson of Girard, IL and two sisters, Connie (Amy) Watson of Springfield, IL and Mary Lynn (Derek) Manning of West Frankfort, IL, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.  Cremation rites have been accorded by Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home, Virden, IL. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. There was a private family visitation and burial ceremony.
