Francis Ray "Bud" Morse

Francis Ray “Bud” Morse, 79, of Elizabethtown, Ill., passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Harrisburg Medical Center.  He was born on March 28, 1940 in Golconda, the son of Lou Ray and Melba Lee (Eleam) Morse.  Bud married Frances May Harrington on July 30, 1960.  He worked at Delta Materials and retired from IMI and he was vice president of the Gallatin County Coon Club.  Bud is survived by his wife Frances M. Morse of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Nita and Ralph Milles of Shawneetown, Roberta and John Chamness of Columbia, La.; six sisters, Brenda Sue Winters of Shawneetown, Glenda Reeves of Herod, Margaret and Steve Berguist of Jackson, Tenn., Cindy and Reggie Taylor of Burlington, Ky., Sondra and Mike Ellison of Butler Co., Ohio, Martha Jane and Mark Atwell of St. Augustine, Fla.; one brother, Larry “Butch” and Judy Morse of Shawneetown; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lou Ray Morse and Melba Lee Beasley; one son, Tommy Ray Morse; one sister, Linda Kline and one brother, James L. Morse. Cremation service selected with visitation on Saturday, September 28th from 10 a.m. until memorial service time at 11 a.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with Rev. Harold Miller officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gallatin County Coon Club.
