Francis Ray Reynolds

Francis Ray Reynolds, 78, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away at the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg on Monday, August 23, 2021.  He was born in Rosedale Township in Jersey County, Illinois on February 2, 1943.  Francis was the son of the late Andrew Ray and Bertha Mildred (Flercher) Reynolds.   On April 1, 1961 he married the former Helen Frank who survives.  He was a retired over the road truck driver and was a Air Force veteran.  Francis has several jobs during his lifetime including farming and school bus driver for Unit #100 in Jerseyville.  Francis is survived by his wife, Helen Reynolds of Shawneetown; his son, Duwayne Reynolds of Shawneetown and his daughter, Jennifer and Wayne Palmer of Florence, Alabama; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and fifteen siblings.  Visitation for Francis will be held on Monday, August 30th from 5 p.m. until memorial service time at 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Reverend Richard Malone will be officiating the service.
