Gary South

Gary South, age 62 of Pensacola, Florida died January 4, 2020. Visitation will be from 10-11AM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home followed by a service starting at 11AM. Gary was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on February 28, 1957. He enjoyed serving alongside his MFV brothers and sisters at the homeless feed, watching the Gators and Saints football, Cardinal baseball, fishing, eating crawfish, playing corn hole and spending time with family. He is loved by so many people across the world from Japan, Iraq, Illinois, Virginia, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and especially the place he called home, Pensacola. Gary touched so many lives and will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laugh, smile, sense of humor, shenanigans, pranks, and most of all a loving father, brother, son, grandfather and friend.   He was preceded in death by his father and step mother Bud and Phyllis South. He was survived by parents, Donna and Robert Moggio; daughters, Christy South Nall, Ashley South, Amy Lee and Mizuho Momose; sister, Sharolyn Short (Blaine) and brother, Robert Barnett (Rachel).  The family would like to thank Pastor Wes and the staff at MFV and all of his friends for reaching out.  Those desiring can make donations to “Taking it to the streets ministry” at MFVtoday.com .
