Guy Estel Hay

Guy Estel Hay, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 15, 2015, 2:15 p.m.  He was born on July 14, 1924 in Ledford, the son of William V. and Susan Katherine (Gidcumb) Hay.  Guy married his loving wife of forty-two years, Alma Jean Wetherington on December 15, 1973.  He served is country in the army during World War Two and was a member of the Ledford Baptist Church.  Guy retired as custodian at the Southeastern Illinois College in 1987.  He is survived by his wife, Alma Jean Hay of Harrisburg.  Guy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rosha Pickering and one brother, James Hay.  Visitation for Guy will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Funeral service will be on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Angelly officiating.  Burial will be at the Lavender Cemetery near Herod.
