Guy Hiram Walters

Guy Hiram Walters, 73, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Gallatin Manor in Ridgway.  Guy was born on October 29, 1950 in Shawneetown the son of the late Hiram and Anna Francis (Moore) Walters.  He began his career at AJAX Manufacturing in Shawneetown, later working at and retiring  from B & W at Mt. Vernon, Ind after forty-five of service.  Also Guy was a member of the Leamington Community Church near Junction.  Guy is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Gidget Irvin of Shawneetown; two sons, Larry Walters of Norris City and Gary Walters of Texas; his sister, Mary Ann and Lynn Smith of Norris City; three brothers, Greg and Donna Walters of Murphysboro, James H. Walters of Marion, Billy L. and Leona Walters of Norris City; five grandchildren; Jeffery Walters, Matthew Walters, Joshua Walters, Allen Henson and Meagan Riley; four great grandchildren, Joey, Addi, Aspyn, and Samuel.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Eugene Walters.  Visitation for Guy will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Pastor Bob Brinkley will be conducting the service.
