Harry Frederick McLain, 93, of Florissant, Mo. formerly of Equality, Ill, passed on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Cottages of Lake St. Louis in Lake St. Louis, Mo. He was born on December 25, 1925 in Equality, Ill., the only child of the late Dorsey and Lucy (Miller) McLain. Frederick married Margaret Lou Frohock on November 30, 1949. Margaret preceded him in death on December 15, 2013. He was employed by Monsanto where he worked for over forty years. Frederick proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. A brother-in-law to Dorothy Williams, Pat Frohock, Charlotte Frohock, Wanda (Harry) Claywell, Don (Nayna) Frohock, Ronald (Eunice) Frohock, Kay Whittley and the late George Frohock, Henry Frohock and William Whittley and dear uncle of fifteen nieces and nephews as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Cherished friend to many. Memorial visitation at Hutchens Mortuary from 4 p.m. to until service time at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb 1st. Graveside service on Tuesday, February 5th at 1 p.m., at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality. Military rites by Ridgway American Legion and Navy Military Honors Team. Vickery Funeral Chapel of Equality in charge of local arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials to Ridgway American Legion Post #596, 206 South Murphy, Ridgway, IL 62979.
