Helen Joyce Mccuan

Helen Joyce McCuan, 79 of Equality, passed away at 6:40 PM, Monday, December 26, 2022 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Helen was born on May 2, 1943 in Equality to the late Charles Truman and Bertha Marie (Koker) Adams. Helen married Elmer McCuan on March 24, 1965 and he survives. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing the guitar, fishing and reading her Bible. Helen attended Equality Church of God and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by daughter, Donna Price of Harrisburg; son, Larry McCuan and wife Pam of Equality; four grandchildren, Brian Tolley of Caseyville; Ashley Tolley of Harrisburg; Amy Tolley of Harrisburg; Amanda Payne and husband Scott of Raleigh; twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, son, James William “Jimmy” Merritt and two brothers, Billy Adams and Wayne Adams.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Elmwood Cemetery in Equality; Rev. Peggy Winters will officiate.
