Helen K. Walker Pearce, 75, of Norris City, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, 7:30 a.m. She was born on August 11, 1937 in Union County, Ill., the daughter of Loren and Iva (Allen) Walker. Helen married Albert A. Pearce on September 7, 1957. She was a retired second grade teacher at Hillcrest School in Eldorado and she was a member of the Illinois Teachers Association. Helen is survived by her husband, Albert A. Pearce of Norris City; two daughters, Linda and Mark Lemons of Omaha, Carol and John Deom of Enfield; two sons, Mark and Candy Pearce of Florida, Alan and Barb Pearce of Norris City; one brother, Robert Walker of Mt. Erie; six grandchildren, Josh and Stephanie Lemons, Matt Lemons, John Deom, Alyssa Deom, Zack Pearce, Walker Pearce; and she was looking forward to her first great grandchild that is due in July. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Valgene Walker. Visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. A private family service will be held at the funeral chapel on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. with burial at Old Village Cemetery near Norris City.
