Hubert Joseph Fromm

Hubert Joseph Fromm, 89, of Ridgway, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, Ill.  Hubert was born September 14, 1924 to Anton and Emma (Wolter) Fromm on the family farm outside of Ridgway, Ill.  Hubert married Sarah Boulds on October 15, 1946.  Hubert worked at F.S., Galmon Construction, Gallatin County Courthouse as a dispatcher, Kerr McGhee mine and farmed in agriculture and livestock.  He loved basketball and baseball. He was one of the first people to get Khoury League started in Ridgway.  He coached baseball and St. Joseph basketball team.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He was on the St. Joseph Parish Council, School Board and Building Committee of the St. Joseph Gym.  Hubert is survived by his wife, Sarah Fromm of Ridgway; three sons, Bob (Joan) Fromm of Junction, Don (Debbie) Fromm of Shawneetown, and Steve (Kim) Fromm of Equality; six daughters, Jane Bond of Ridgway. Linda (Ed) Bickett of Cave-In-Rock, Sue (J.L.) Wathen of Evansville, Ind., Joyce (Roger) Mobley of Ridgway, Carol (Keith) Farris of Ridgway and Lisa (Chris) Berry of Harrisburg.  Grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Fromm, Tina Fromm, Derrek (Jaylyn) Fromm, Chris (Kim) Fromm, Kyle (Julie) Fromm, Kendra Fromm, Philip (Tonya) Bond, Wesley Bond, David Price, Joe (Susan) Price, Emily (Todd) Driscoll, Abbie Bickett, Katie Bickett, Brain (Jamie) Wathen, Adam (Jennifer) Wathen, Andy (Megan) Wathen, John (Roxy) Mobley, Rachel (Nathan) Rollins, Jennifer (Kevin) McCree, Michael (Estella) Farris, Amanda Fromm, Chelsea Fromm, Megan (Jonathan) Frost, and Justin Fromm.  Great Grandchildren, Ava Grace Fromm, Drew and Eli Fromm, Thacker and Harper Fromm, Isaac Fromm, Dylan and Kate Bond, Jessica Price, McKensie and Evan Bradley, Anniston Price, Jaxon Belford, Noah, Aiden, Charlie and Henry Wathen, Kylan, Katlyn, Kinley and Khloe Wathen, Raleigh Cox, Lylian Mobley, Olivia Rollins, Carter and Sydney McCree, Julia, Paul, Andrew and Matthew Farris, and Lincoln Mark Frost.  One daughter-in-law, Cathy Fromm.  Five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Margaret Boulds, Loretta Masulla, Patricia Boulds, Carolyn Boulds,   Mary Ann (Frank) Riecken.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Theresa (Wargel) Boulds.  Four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ed (Stella) Fromm, Ray (Dorothy) Fromm, Ambrose Fromm and A.H. Fromm.  Three sisters, and one brother-in-law,  Mary (Clemmer) Builderback, Thelma Hardin and Corneila Fromm.  Two son, Mike and Mark Fromm.  One granddaughter, Sarah Wathen and one son-in-law, Cletus Bond.  Seven brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Simon (Eva) Boulds, Lawrence (Mary) Boulds, Ed Boulds, Bill Boulds, and J.R. Boulds, Bernice (Leonard) Drone and Anna Marie (Roy) Hobbs.  Visitation for Hubert will be held on Tuesday, December 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. with Rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway.  Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, December 11th at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Equality with Father Steven Beatty officiating.  Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Kateri Building Fund or Charity of your choice.  Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
