Jackie Troy Cantrell

Jackie Troy Cantrell, 70, of Harrisburg, passed away at in his home on Sunday, June 18, 2017.  He was born on September 27, 1946 in Harrisburg.  He is the son of the late Ralph and Callie Belle (Morris) Cantrell.  Jackie was trained as an EMT and also was a truck driver.  He is survived by his daughter, Jody Cantrell of Harrisburg, and his son, Jackie Cantrell of Paoli, Ind.; three sisters, Imogene Wilmore and Mary Coulson both of Herrin, and Hazel Swears of Hurst; three brothers, George Bush of Marion, Charles Hill of Herrin, Rev. Leo Hall of Norris City; three grandchildren, Callie Jo and Johnny Ellison of Shawneetown, Amber Michelle Cantrell of Harrisburg, and Tyler Austin Cantrell of Carrier Mills; three great grandchildren, Gage, Jacob, and Jayln Ellison.  Jackie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert “Bob” Hill.  Also a special thanks to Judy Blankenship and Christine Bowers.  A cremation service was selected and there will be no services.  Vickery Funeral Chapel of Shawneetown in charge of arrangements.
