James E. "Comanche" Certain of Equality passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 4:00 p.m. He was born in Equality on February 7, 1945, the son of Richard Sr. and Helen Juanita (Parker) Certain. Jim was a retired truck driver form R.G. Berry Trucking. He is survived by one daughter, Julie Williams of Eldorado; two sons, Albert and Karen Certain of Equality, James N. Certain also of Equality; former wife, Delia Certain of Eldorado; three sisters, Jean Modglin of Equality, Myrna Sales of Murray, Ky., Cindy and Edward Reynolds of Equality; three brothers, Joe and Nita Certain of Georgia, Richard "Dickie: Certain of Equality, Samuel F. Certain also of Equality; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two great grandchildren, Brieanna Essex and Bobby Snyder; special friend, Mary Hadfield; and his beloved cat "Killer". Visitation for Jim will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery near Eldorado. Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
