James L. "Jim" Morse

James L. “Jim” Morse, 79, of Harrisburg, Ill. formerly of Junction, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, 11:35 p.m. at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.  Jim was the son of the late Lou Ray Morse and Melba L. (Eleam) Beasley.  He was born in April 6, 1939 in Golconda, Ill.  Jim married the former Delana K. Oldham on May 13, 1990.  He was a retired cabinet factory worker, working in different factories for forty years.  Also he was a faithful member of the Calvary Promise Church near Shawneetown.  He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Delana K. Morse of Harrisburg; one son, Ted and Cindy Boulds of Harrisburg; two sisters, Brenda Sue Winters of Shawneetown, Glenda Reeves of Herod; two brothers, Francis R. “Bud” and Frances Morse of Elizabethtown, Larry “Butch” and Judy Morse of Shawneetown; four grandchildren, Michael and Briana McGhee, Adam McGhee, Ryan Boulds and Courtney Boulds; four half sisters, Margaret and Stephen Bergquist of Murray, Ky., Cindy and Reggie Taylor of Burlington, Ky., Sondra and Mike Ellison of West Chester, Ohio, Martha Jane and Mark Atwell of St. Augustine, Fla.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Laura Jean McGhee and one sister, Linda Kline.  Visitation for Jim will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Funeral service will at the funeral home on Friday, March 22nd at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James R. Hubbard and Rev. Ted Boulds conducting the service.  Burial will follow at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
