Janice Ann (Underwood) Wriston

Janice Ann Wriston, 81, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away at her home on Friday, December 23, 2022.  She was born on June 25, 1941 in
Nicholas County, West Virginia, the daughter of Elmer and Rura (Truman) Underwood.  Janice married Franklin D. Wriston on June 26, 1958.  Frank preceded Janice in death on July 26, 1996.  She was a member of the Ohio Valley General Baptist Church in Shawneetown.  She is survived by her five children, Judy (Thomas) Beggs, Diana Koerber, Cindy (Marty) Wooden, David (Kristina) Wriston and Lisa Hall; one sister, Shelby Hughes; eight grandchildren, Stormie (Jeff) Clifford, Justin Koerber and Leah, Haylee Zumwalt, Rachel Koerber and Matt, Paige Wriston, Shelby Hall, Dylan Hall, and Lillian Wriston; seven great grandchildren, Abby Koerber, Elijah Long, Trever and Jaxon Rammel, Ailyn Zumwalt, Liam Koerber, Blakelyn Wriston.  Also she is survived by many dearly loved nieces and nephews.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Betty E. Sharpe; one brother, Billie James Long.  There will be a private graveside service at Westwood Cemetery at a later date.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown in charge of arrangements.
