Jeffrey Wayne Berlin, age 59, of Evansville, Ind. formerly of Shawneetown, Ill., went to join his Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 surrounded by family at his home in Evansville. Jeffrey was born in Shawneetown on September 15, 1959 to the late Jacob Levi “Jake” and Eula Mae (Head) Berlin. He married the former Vanessa Lampert on June 16, 1979. Jeffrey worked as an auto parts manager and was a member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Shawneetown. Jeff is survived by his wife Vanessa Berlin of Evansville; two sons, Jacob Allyn and fiance’ Jeamy, Jeremy Scott Berlin, all of Evansville; one daughter, Cassandra Elizabeth Berlin, also of Evansville; grandchildren Adilynn Grace, Chloe Rayne, Jessey Ivelisse, and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first grandson, Carson Wayne Berlin. Jeff is also survived by two brothers, Carroll and Linda Berlin, John and Ruby Berlin, all of Shawneetown; two sisters, Belinda Berlin of Shawneetown, Jean Ann and Gary Smith of Harrisburg. As well as many nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Albert and Charles Eugene Berlin; two sisters, Carolyn Joyce Berlin and Cynthia Elizabeth Heine. Visitation for Jeffrey will be held on Saturday, August 3rd from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Pastor Cherrie Roan will be officiating. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions can be made to Vickery Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
