John Michael Mcnear

John Michael "Mike" McNear, 59, of 590 5th St. in Omaha; passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010, 1:50 a.m. at the Mount Vernon Nursing Center in Mt. Vernon, Ind. He was born in Eldorado, Ill. on May 18, 1950 to Vernon and Augusta Maine (Newby) McNear. Mike was employed at the Omaha Furniture Store in Omaha. He proudly served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Mike is survived by his sister, Brenda and Ralph Mayberry of Norris City and by his brother, Ronnie McNear of Longview, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers. Visitation for Mike will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Reverend Geneda Cox will be officiating the service.
