Joseph David Porter

Joseph David "Joe" Porter, 74, of Junction, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 19, 2013, 6:15 a.m. He was born on June 19, 1938 in Equality, the son of Charles Allen and Mary C. (Haney) Porter. Joe married Donna Jane Harrelson on October 25, 1958 and she preceded him in death on January 16, 2008. He was a member of the Equality Social Brethren Church. Joe is survived by three daughters, Terry and Andrew Fals of Junction, Jodi and Mike Wigginton of Owensboro, Ky., Laura and Kenny Pumphrey of Junction; six sisters, Catherine "Cathy" Hopper of Equality, Ruby Oxford of Rolling Meadows, Winifred Joyce Lewis of Chillicothe, Mary C. "Connie" Brazier of Marion, Bonnie and Bernard Thomas of Uniontown, Ky. Linda Reed of Creal Springs; one brother, Gene and Mary Etta Porter of Eldorado; six grandchildren, Andrew David Fals, Amy Webb and Brad Golden, Jesse and Ashlie Fals, Megan Martin, Jeff Upton, Cody Martin; Five great grandchildren Samantha Webb, Caleb Webb, Isabella Fals, Alice Fals and Timber Fals. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Mildred Black and Evadeen Haney; two brothers, Noel Allen Porter and Charles Edgar Porter. Burial will be at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery near Raleigh. Visitation for Joe will be held on Monday, May 20 ^th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.
