Karen Sue (Clevenger) Mclain

Karen Sue McLain, 54, of Equality, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013, 5:13 a.m., at the Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.  She was born in Eldorado on December 21, 1959, the daughter of Otto William and Joy Gregory (Collins) Clevenger.  Karen was the loving wife of James Patrick McLain Jr., they married on December 16, 1984.  She worked at the Loretta Nursing Home and also as a  home assistant in several private residences.  Karen loved animals and took care of many strays.   Karen is survived by her loving sisters and brother; Joyce Clevenger of Morgans Point, Tex., Annette and Steve Brugger of Ridgway, June and Rick Rushing of Shawneetown, Cindy Dunk of Shawneetown, Gordan and Carolyn Clevenger of Ridgway.  Also survived by sister-in-law, Vickie and Larry Uselton of Shawneetown; father-in-law, James P. McLain Sr. of Shawneetown. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Pete, Ricky, and Bobby Clevenger; three sisters, Patsy Clevenger, Gracie Warden, and Connie Smith.  Private burial at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown will be in charge of arrangements.  Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
