Lee Caldwell

Lee Caldwell, 96, of Shawneetown, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, 7:15 a.m. at the Ridgway Manor Nursing Home in Ridgway, Ill. She was born on December 1, 1915 in Shawneetown to Riley and Elizabeth (Lowe) Lovell. Lee married James Paul Caldwell on October 1, 1932 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1986. She a homemaker but also cooked for many years at the Shawneetown Grade School. She was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Shawneetown. Lee is survived by her son, Jimmie Lee and Shirley Caldwell of Franklinton, La.; two granddaughters, Donna Jean and Joe Curet of Waggonman, La.; Lisa Ann and Mike Ketchum of Madisonville, La.; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Jamie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Margaret Ann Pankey and Stella Mae Barger. Visitation for Lee will be held from Noon until service time at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.
