Linda Kay Allen Milligan Baker, 79, of Van Horn, Texas, formerly of Equality, Illinois, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 18, 2022 in El Paso, Texas. Linda was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on July 9, 1943 to Fred Henry Allen and Alice Laverne (Edwards) Allen. She married Donald Edgar Baker on February 23, 1979. Linda obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Van Horn and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (Rev. Donald) Parker of Van Horn, Texas and a niece and nephew that she raised, Linda Kay (John) Macy of Helendale, California and Bobby Allen also of California; two step daughters Robin Belford of Carrier Mills, Illinois, Jill (Larry) Fillingim of Ridgway, Illinois and one step son Gill (Stephanie) Baker of Luling, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Milligan Jr. (1976) and husband Donald Baker (2022), her parents and 3 brothers Jim, Frank and John. There will be a graveside service for Linda on Tuesday, May 30th at 11 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality with Reverend Donald Parker officiating. Those attending should fo directly to the cemetery. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of local services.
