Lois (Utley) Bradford, age 90, of Omaha passed from this life into the next on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Wabash Christian Nursing Home Haven Center in Carmi, Illinois. She was born March 17, 1921 in Omaha, the daughter of Harry and Fanny (Williams) Utley. Lois became Bill Bradford's devoted wife on August 31, 1940, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1987. She was a member of the Omaha General Baptist Church and a Seventy -two year member of the Eastern Star May Chapter #718. Survivors are two daughters: Mary Jo Leeds (Fred) of McLeansboro and Linda Davis (Jon) of Omaha. Grandchildren are David Tarrant (Ellen) of Norris City; Trina Sauls (Ricky) of New Haven; Amanda Nichols (Chris) of Mattoon; Tasha Davis (Josh) of Dunlap; and special son, Rich Chapell of Carmi. Great Grandchildren are: Laura Tarrant of Gilbert, Ariz., Nathan Poore (Priscilla) of Enfield; Sawyer Poore (Emily Roark) of Norris City; Sierra Poore (Mike Vega) of Norris City; Andy Carlin of McLeansboro and Nate Carlin of Mattoon; Bradford, Hayden and Layton Sauls of New Haven; Brad Leeds (Mary) of Tavares, Fla.; Amy Clabaugh (Rick) of Urbana; Elizabeth Leeds of Omaha, Neb.; Kaylea and Kelsea Chapell of Carmi. Great Great Grandchildren: Nataleigh and Trevin Poore. Nieces and nephews: Joan Edwards of Whitehouse, Tenn.; Jimmy (Phyllis) Edwards of Nashville, Tenn. Lois was pre-deceased by her parents, Harry and Fanny Utley; her husband, Bill; her sister, Mary Edwards, and grandson, Charles Jason Tarrant. A group of special sons and daughters to Miss Lois are: James Leonberger of Tuscon, Ariz.; Danny Crunk of Walnut Hill; Art Hazel of Owensboro, Ky.; Erin Valentine of Decatur; Lindell Tarrant of Eldorado; Jimmy Tarrant of Omaha; Joan Everett of McLeansboro; and Mike and Junalie Nelson of Omaha. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 12, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel, Omaha. Pastor Jason Miner will officiate with burial at Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha.
