Louis Edward Rexing

Louis Edward, 90, of Herod, Illinois, passed away at his home on Monday, January 25, 2021.  He was born in Equality on November 2, 1930, the son of the late Henry George and Florence Madeline (Wargel) Rexing.  Louis was a farmer and union laborer.  Also he was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.  Louis is survived by his brother, Norman Eugene and Rose Mary Rexing of Bethalto; several nieces and nephews.    He was preceded in death by parents, two sisters, Regina L. Collins and Louise Simpson; two brothers, Carl and Cedric Rexing. Visitation for Louis will be held on Monday, February 1st from 10 a.m. until Mass time at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.  Father Steven Beatty will be officiating.  Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery near Equality.  Due to Covid-19, social distancing and masks are required.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements.
