Margaret Dee (Case) Joyner

Margaret Dee “Corky” Joyner, 76, of Shawneetown, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014, 5:06 a.m., at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.  She was born on September 7, 1937 in Harrisburg, the daughter of H.M. and Loretta (Wenzel) Case. Corky was retired from the Egyptian Health Department.  Also she was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Jon Smith of Shawneetown; two sons, David and Kerry Joyner, Roger and Tammy Joyner, both of Shawneetown; one brother, Danny M. Case of Eldorado; five grandchildren, Rachel Joyner of Shawneetown, Sarah and Bill Stewart of Ridgway, Casey and Michael Charleton of Shawneetown; Mary Kate and Jon Pierce of Stonefort; Nicholas Joyner of Shawneetown; three great grandchildren, Lark, Ava, and Conner.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl J. “Butch” Case.    Funeral Mass for Corky will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shawneetown with Father Steven Beatty officiating.  There will be no visitation and those attending should go directly to the Church.   Burial will be at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Kateri Catholic Church.  Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
