Margie (Browning) Lewis

Margie Lewis, 76, a long time resident of Equality, Illinois, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday afternoon of May 21, 2024 at her residence.  She was born in Delphia, Kentucky on January 20, 1948, the daughter of the late Odis and Gracie (Williams) Browning.  Margie married her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Lewis on December 1, 1966.  Sadly, Tom passed away on August 3, 2020.  She was a retired cook at the Gallatin County School.  A Christian by faith, she was a true and faithful member of the New Life Christian Center in Equality.  Margie is survived by her loving family; her daughter, Stephanie Eudy of Harrisburg; two sons, Kevin and Becky Lewis of Norris City, Patrick and Crystal Lewis of Belle Rive; her sister, Lois Dixon Headrick of London, Kentucky; two brothers, Donald and Belinda Browning of Benham, Kentucky, Larry Browning of Rutledge, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Alex and Eli Jackson; Tori and Andy McTaggart; Jake, Brooke, and Gracie Pyle; Landen and Lane Lewis; and eleven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Jeffrey Odis Lewis; great grandson, Jordyn Pyle; her brother, Terry Wayne Browning.  Visitation for Margie will be held on Thursday, May 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Funeral service will be the following day, Friday, May 24th at 1 p.m. at the New Life Christian Center in Equality.  Burial will follow the service at Leamington Cemetery near Junction.
