Mark Alan Nunley

Mark Alan Nunley, 40, of Shawneetown, Ill., passed away at his home on Friday, June 14, 2019.  Mark was born on August 7, 1978 in Eldorado, the son of Herbert Lee “Herbie” Jr. and Violet Sue (Ozee) Nunley.  He married Amanda Owen on March 16, 2011.  Mark is survived by his wife Amanda Nunley of Shawneetown; his mother, Sue Nunley of Henderson, Ky.; daughter, Alexis Nunley of Shawneetown; two sons, Hunter and Michael Nunley of Shawneetown; daughter, Jemma Williams of Kentucky; grandmother, Susie Mae Ozee of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, April and Matt Cavins of Spottsville, Ky; one nephew, Austin and Moriah Robbins; one niece, Aspen Robbins; uncle, Mike and Deb Nunley of Carmi; aunt, Jane Potts; two uncles, Rodney and Roger Nunley; two uncles, Robert Ozee of Karens, W.V., and James Ozee of Henderson, Ky.;  mother-in-law, Lori and Fred Kennedy of Sturgis, Ky.; father-in-law, John Owen of Clay, Ky.; several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Herbert Lee Sr. and Gertrude Nunley, Robert Amos Ozee.  There will be a memorial service for Mark  beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 17th at the First Baptist Church in Shawneetown with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.  Burial will be at the Wolf Creek Cemetery at a later date.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown in charge of the arrangements.
